I was born in Denver, CO, and grew up in the greater Seattle area of Washington state. Since then I have lived in Vancouver BC, California, and Savannah, Georgia where I received my MFA in 2D Computer Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I have always loved to draw and paint, and after a short time after college designing websites and music videos, I am now focused on bodypainting and photography, and always looking for the next adventure.
I shoot with a Canon 7D, and have a small collection of prime lenses as well as a 70-300 zoom lens. I have a variety of backdrops in my home-studio, some paper and some cloth, and I use Adobe Photoshop CS to retouch my photos. I have an arsenal of strobes and modifiers, but typically use only two at a time, sometimes only one.
For bodypainting, I use only professional body paints, FDA approved, hypo-allergenic, non-toxic, and safe for human skin. My favorite brands are WolfeFX, Mehron, and Graftobia, and have only recently purchased an airbrush for which I use Vibe and Pro Aiir. All of these apply easily, and wash off with soap and water. Most designs take me 1-3 hours to apply, depending on the complexity and detail of the design. Everything you currently see in my portfolio was applied with a brush. (I will hopefully post some airbrush designs soon!)
